The United States is one of most prosperous economies in the world. However, there are 39 million Americans living in extreme poverty and millions more on the brink of poverty that struggle everyday with finding affordable health care, employment, quality education, housing, job training, and small business development. This is especially true in metropolitan cities as well as rural areas. It is estimated that nearly one in five people have food insecurity. Among struggling communities, more than half of people struggle with unemployment or underemployment for more than six months at a time. Furthermore, many educational opportunities that will lead to better opportunities are difficult to obtain given the large upfront expense, loss of wages (when new training or education is occurring), and physical distance from quality services. This ultimately leads to a downward spiral for many people and families.
Solution
Our goal for the DREAM platform will be to streamline and automate how distressed people discover and apply for non-profit and or government services in an overall effort to eradicate poverty, boost the quality of life in cities and reduce the amount of the population living at or below the poverty line.
Our Beliefs
It is believed that by creating a platform that will streamline and automate how distressed people(s) discover and apply for non-profit and or government services; we can eradicate poverty, boost the quality of life in cities and reduce the amount of inefficiencies found in accessing non-profit and government services
